Future Teacher Program for African American Males

The Future Teacher Program for African American Males prides itself on connecting the students with individuals and role models that have a story to tell and a future to share.  Jabhzar Fields, (Freshman/Junior at North Carolina State University) has a small group engages in a small group discussion with Damian Webb, Emmanuel Harris and Ahmad Harris, about his journey to State and his aspirations for the future.  By the way, Jahzar graduated from Hoggard in June 2023.

An integral part of the 100’s Future Teacher Program for African American Males includes instruction focused on STEAM activities.  Students acquire basic skills through authentic hands-on projects that use biotic kits. Damion Webb, a 10th grade student at Laney High School is pictured in the photo.
